Commander Pamela A. Tellado brings her extensive and prestigious Navy experiences to the Indigo table. Raised in Hanover, Michigan, she graduated from the US Naval Academy in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Oceanography. She also acquired a Master’s Degree from the Naval Postgraduate School in Meteorology and Oceanography.
Commander Tellado’s impressive Naval career includes deployments to the Mediterranean for NATO on the USS KLARKNG (FFG 42), the Arabian Sea, the Northern Atlantic, and the Arabian gulf with USS VICKSBURG (CG 69) and Carrier Strike Group 2 (CSG 2). On home soil, Commander Tellado has served as a Division Officer and Command Duty Officer for the Naval Maritime Forecast Center in Pearl Harbor, Staff Oceanographer and ship operations scheduler for Carrier Strike Group Two. She also taught as a senior instructor at the US Naval Academy for both Oceanography and Math. Commander Tellado served as the Staff Oceanographer for Commander, Submarine Forces Pacific at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Currently, she is a Program Officer for the Naval Postgraduate School. Her personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (with Gold Star), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (with Gold Star), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, among others.
