Basics: Introduction and Take Indigo
This course is designed to be a guide through through the initial steps on the journey to self-awareness. It starts with taking the survey. Once you have your Indigo report, you can explore the other sections to interpret your behaviors, motivators, and soft skills.
Each section of this course contains reflection questions about your results. If your teacher has asked you to turn in those reflections or if you would like to write them out for yourself, use the button on the right to download a printable version.
If you have already taken the assessment, you can go directly to the section where you want to start.
Taking the Indigo Survey
Indigo wants to help you discover your own unique behaviors, motivators, and skills. This starts with a survey. It is not a test; there are no right or wrong answers. Once you complete it, you will be emailed a report all about you!
You can use the information in your report when working in teams, applying for colleges/internships/jobs, and making choices about your future. The survey takes up to 45 minutes to complete and must be done in one sitting.

Remember
- There is no right or wrong answer – pick the answer that is true for you.
- Double check your email address when you enter it to ensure you receive your report.
- Be sure to read each section’s instructions. Make sure you order statements in the order the instructions say.
- On the last page, you should select “Save”. The report will be emailed to you.
You may encounter some terms you are unfamiliar with. Just because you have not heard of the term doesn’t mean that you don’t have an opinion on it (once you know what it means). It is your opinion that matters, not how big your vocabulary is. You can download a list of definitions by clicking here, or the button to the right. You can also use Google, or ask a teacher or another adult.

FAQ
If a you do not receive a report, you should NOT retake the assessment. Send an email to support@indigoproject.org with your full name, the name of your school/organization, and a request for the report to be resent.
