Career Exploration: Part II

You are now going to take the concepts and applications from the first part of this course to explore a career and create a plan that aligns with you! This doesn’t have to be a forever plan, and you don’t have to be sure about it. The point is to practice the process of designing a plan based on your personal strengths, motivations, behaviors, and skills.

Step 1) Choose a job you want to explore

Think about your Indigo results, what you have already written about yourself on your website and what you are interested in. Then pick a career that you want to research in this course. If you can’t think of a career, start with the Indigo careers/majors page and pick something you want to explore.

If you want more options, mynextmove.org is another place you can explore careers. It gives you details about the jobs by title or lets you search by your interests.

For additional guidance, find your top two motivators in the guide at the bottom of this page.
